Yum at Pastaio London
I had a recent opportunity to shoot a dish at Pastaio London . Pastaio is located in Carnaby, Soho London. Located bang in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Carnaby Street, Pastaio is simple and to the point, beautiful social layout, good fresh food at a great price.
I got to photograph how they make their YUMMY fresh pasta. Using fresh ingredients and human touch. We are so used to having our food packaged and never seeing how its made, it was amazing to see the fresh ingredients being made into a something that was going to make your yummy smile!
The dish I got to photograph was the Cacio e Pepe. I was lucky enough to see how they made the pasta and took a short clip - you almost want it to feed straight into your mouth - well it has to be cooked first!
Now this is the part I really got to learn from, good pasta is simple and has easy ingredients, you just need to add a little LOVE while making it.
I could eat this pasta all day!
I was in London last week shooting an event at Portcullis House, so I thought it would be a great time to stop by Pastsio with my partner Lyndsey, for some dinner.
If you like feeling the buzz of Carnaby Street then you have to sit outside and people watch. We started off with the Nocellara olives and Sardinian crispbread - YUM smile X10
Then our mains Wild mushrooms, garlic & olive oil, tagliatelle and Wild Boar, rabbit & pork agnoli - OH my good golly my tummy was having a Party! I ordered the agnoli - Lynsdey had food envy, so we ended up sharing - swapsies!
Finished off our meal with a Clementine sorbet and for me Pistachio ice cream, you have to leave room for dessert and try the Pistachio ice cream its toooo much yummy.
If you are ever in London and want to try something GOOD really GOOD then you have to visit Pastaio London. I would recommend everything on the menu even the Drinks menu is great!
