LUXOR from above . . . . 12 years ago !

In 2006 my partner and I took our first holiday together. Our first adventure to another land. We had just moved to England and our first Wedding anniversary was coming up. We decided to book a “Last Minute” Holiday to see what type of deal we could get. Well we ended up finding a package to visit Luxor on the Nile in Egypt. It was our first visit to Egypt and after arriving late at night we did not know what to expect.

Well after waking in the morning it was insane! An adventure was about to begin, it felt like we went back in time to a whole different world. I would totally recommend visiting Luxor.

On our trip we did so many things in five days, a trip down the Nile on a sailing boat, a personal guided tour to the Valley of the Kings, incredible places to eat, horse and carriage tour around the city, meeting great people, finding the best bakery in Luxor, Karnak Temple at night and so on, I don’t think we really slept!

Anyway, I wanted to share our Hot Air Balloon Trip. On the last day in Luxor, we got up early to watch the Sun rise in a Hot Air Balloon. Of course I had to take my camera - my trusty Canon 20D (My first Digital DSLR long since retired) These are a few pictures from our trip, hope you enjoy them.
